It’s an old story. A king sent his servant to buy him a fish. The servant came back with a fish so foul that its odor nauseated the king, so the king decreed a punishment. However, as a kindness to his loyal servant, he gave the servant a choice: (i) you can pay a monetary fine for the fish, or (ii) be whipped with 10 lashes, or (iii) eat the whole fish.

The servant was quite poor and did not want lashes, so he chose to eat the fish. But it was so awful that, halfway through, he retched uncontrollably and gave up. He agreed instead to be whipped. Alas, after six horrible stripes on his back, he passed out and could not take any more. So, broken, he scurried for the coins he would need to pay the fine for the fish.

Instead of just “biting the bullet” up front and paying the painful fine at the outset, the servant ended up paying in full anyway, but also had undergone the lashes he could have avoided and the ordeal of eating half the fish.

That is my take on the ICC (International Criminal Court) arrest warrants issued against Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. They never should have allowed food, water, meds, and electricity into Gaza to begin with. Either way, they were going to be charged with war crimes, and American campuses and the streets of Europe were going to resonate with cries of “Genocide.” Either way. But this way, by feeding and enriching Hamas immeasurably for a year, they lengthened the war. And I know Biden threatened to withhold crucial weapons, but still…

Fortunately, there still is time to stop the madness. Yes — certainly — inoculate that population to protect against polio. That’s good for Israel too. But that’s it. No food, no water, no meds, no electricity — and no fish.

Justice and courts are a tricky thing. To ensure civil decency and a properly functioning society, we need laws, courts, and judges desperately. And yet, they often evolve into the most corrupt weapons of a corrupt society, or they get wielded in a good society against good people led by corrupt tyrants.

It is particularly instructive to observe the lying and hypocritical Left (same thing) as they speak of courts and justice. When they control the courts with their own corrupt and prejudiced left-wing judges, appointed to their seats by corrupt and biased heads of government, the Left loves the courts and their judges. Oh, how they sing the songs of justice! Justice, justice they pursue.

Israel has such a court. By means of a system that may (or may not) initially have been well intentioned, the Israeli Supreme Court now is corrupted, through and through, tainted by a permanent biased left-wing majority, ensconced in place forever by a self-serving system for replacing retiring left-wing justices with carbon copies.

Remarkably, the left-wing justices get to select their successors. And they are so corrupt that many of them hire the law school children of their colleagues for coveted Supreme Court judicial clerkships. Those clerkships are a lifetime ticket to a successful legal career. I know this because G-d blessed me with the opportunity to be selected after law school for such a clerkship in America, in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and that set me up for life in major law firms paying boatloads of money. The only reason I stopped swimming in those boats of cash is that my calling always had been to be a rav. As soon as my first marriage ended, I raced right back to my prior ten-year rabbinic career with the blessings of my new wife, Ellen z”l.

When any Israeli government makes the slightest effort to amend and repair Israel’s warped Supreme Court system, the Left comes out in their hundreds of thousands screaming that the courts are sacrosanct and must not be touched, that the center-right are trying to convert Israel to fascism.

In fact, the reformers only want a balanced court with restraints almost identical to those governing America’s courts. Create a fair and balanced system for selecting new judges: some of one ideology and some of the other. Restrict the court from overruling the Basic Laws, the Constitution. Respect matters of standing, justiciability, and precedent. Bar justices from fabricating law on the spot. That is why deeply respected American Jewish jurists like Alan Dershowitz, Nathan Lewin, and former U.S. Attorney-General Michael Mukasey have published widely on their support for desperately needed Israeli court reform.

So that is one example of how the Left turns courts into weapons of corruption and oppression.

The opposite example now takes place in America. For scores of years, the American Supreme Court was in the hands of extreme leftists, far to the left of mainstream Americans. The reason is that, when Democrats controlled the White House, they predictably appointed and confirmed Leftists — and when Republicans were in control, their yokels also appointed and confirmed several leftists. (It’s a long sordid story I have written about many times in the past.) The bottom line is that the American Supreme Court was leftist for more than half a century, and the American leftists sang the same Supreme Court praises as the Israeli leftists.

But then came the second Bush and then Trump, and they Constitutionally changed the balance of the Court. Of the nine justices on the American Supreme Court, five now are conservative, three leftist, and one center-right.

The Leftist hypocrisy boldly emerges: Suddenly, the American Left no longer describes their Supreme Court with words of praise but with opprobrium, contumely, and calumny. Their latest tactic: while Biden and Harris were in the White House, they brazenly demanded to add six new justices unilaterally, so they could change the 5-3-1 conservative tilt to a 9-5-1 leftist tilt. By miracle, two Democrats in the 51-49 Democrat Senate blocked their effort. That is what became of the Holy Supreme Court revered by the Righteous Left . . . when the Left no longer dominated its composition.

So there is Torah justice, and there is human justice. The Torah urges appointing honest judges who cannot be bought. Often, human justice is honest and upholds civilization. At other times, courts are the central tool for corruption and even murder. It was that way in Sodom. Routinely, Stalin’s courts unanimously condemned political opponents to immediate execution; firing squads implemented the death sentences the same night. Hitler had his “People’s Court” (Volksgerichtshof ). Roland Freisler was Hitler’s Chief Judge. Read about him. He died in 1945 when a building pillar collapsed on him in his corrupt courthouse amid an American bombing run. Because the column supported the ceiling, the entire courthouse then crushed down on him. Divine measure for measure.

That is today’s ICC (“International Criminal Court’). It is aptly named: an international court of criminals. It emerges that they are no more a court of justice than were Roland Freisler’s or Stalin’s courts.

1. No other democratic country’s head of government ever before has been declared a war criminal or had an arrest warrant issued by the ICC. Only the two Jews.

2. Israel has its own unrestrained, wildcat Supreme Court and judicial system that is only too happy to investigate, criminalize, and lock up Prime Minister Netanyahu for any excuse they can generate. The ICC is supposed to be a court of final recourse when no other system of justice exists within the accused’s country. However, Israel investigates everyone. They threw Prime Minister Ehud Olmert into prison. Chief Rabbi Metzger. President Katzav. When they want a confession, they know how to torture it out of a tight-lipped witness. They love to throw their political enemies in prison. AG Baharav-Meara can’t wait to get her hands on Netanyahu.

Who needs war crimes? The Left wants to lock him up over cigars. Only a corrupt ICC would refuse to allow Israel to conduct its own investigations into war crimes charges.

3. All the alleged “crimes against humanity” — starving people, denying them water and meds, etc. — were adopted by a war cabinet including Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot. Why are they not included among the arrest warrants? Why Gallant but not Gantz and Eisenkot? This incredible prosecutorial lacuna itself demonstrates the judicial corruption. It is Stalin’s Lavrentiy Beria: “Show me the man, and I will show you the crime.”

The reality is that Israel never should have been giving Gaza food, water, and meds in the first place. Instead, all the Zionist spokespeople and apologists around the world proudly brag that Israel sends so many tons and truckloads of food and water to Gaza. Just as they brag that Israel is the best place to be a homosexual. And that Israel has been offering Arabs sovereignty in the Judea-Samaria half of Israel. None of that wins over the Left.

Which part of “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free” do they not understand?

The mainstream official Zionists are crazy. Who does this? No one does this. Did America and Britain feed Dresden while they were bombing them? Hiroshima? Nagasaki? Does Turkey feed Kurds while exterminating them? Does Azerbaijan feed the Armenians they are destroying?

Who . . . does . . . this?

It is like the king, the servant, and the fish. The servant should have paid up front; the whippings and the rotten fish could have been avoided. Israel never should have agreed to feed Gaza. Israel gets no credit for it. The food and water are hijacked by Hamas and used to feed their terrorists to keep them in good health while killing Jews. They rob the food, feed themselves, and then use the remaining food to recruit more terrorists: “Hungry? You want food? Join Hamas, and we’ll give you food, your parents food, and your kids food.” And Hamas sells whatever still is left over at exorbitant prices.

Netanyahu, Gantz, and Eisenkot never should have agreed to send in food, water, meds, or electricity. At the very least, the message should have been from Day One — and I have been writing this here for a year: “No Food, no water, no meds, and no electricity until all hostages first are returned.” Hostages are not for negotiating.

And the foolish anti-Bibi slogan never should have been “Bring Them Home.” Who should bring them home? Macron? Putin? The U.N.? Biden? Biden can’t even bring back American hostages. The slogan should have been and still should be: “Give Them Back.” Better: “Give Them Back — Or Starve.” The foolish sign and the ‘give Hamas everything’ argument was done on the backs of the hostages – it made Hamas up the ante and refuse to negotiate.

“Humanitarian assistance”? No one — absolutely no one — is impressed. “See how Israel lets food and water in. The ‘innocent’ Gaza civilians have been killed only because Hamas hides their weapons, launchers, and personnel amid civilians, residential apartment buildings, mosques, schools, and hospitals.” Through 13 months, no one gets it. They accuse Israel of “genocide” anyway. No credit is given for the food and water anyway. The ICC accuses Netanyahu of “genocide” anway. The college anarchists, funded by Arab government and George Soros money, protected by Charles Schumer, bolstered by Jew haters in J Street, accuse Israel and Netanyahu of “genocide” anyway.

Let Saudi Arabia and Qatar send food and water, and take in emigrants and refugees. Egypt, too.

Israel doesn’t have to keep eating the rotten fish and getting whipped for it. Just pay for the darned fish and go full-out without any more “humanitarian” aid to Hamas. Get the darned war done already. Stop feeding them. The ICC has nothing left to throw. And Trump’s team is on the way.

“J Street” is a self-excluding entity of Jew haters: Not that they hate all Jews. They have room for George Soros and Bernie Sanders. They proudly take the lead in sabotaging the one and only country of the Jews. Enough to set themselves outside the machaneh, the “camp,” of Klal Yisrael (the Community of Israel). And they have room for unabashed Israel-haters. Two years ago, they circulated a petition stating that Ilhan Omar is not anti-Semitic . . . and not even anti-Israel.

Let us be clear. All because a Jew thinks diametrically differently from you or from the majority does not separate that Jew from the Community of Israel. But there are those who truly are outside the pale. They have been there throughout Jewish history: the Kamenevs, Zionovievs, Radeks, and Trotskys. They come in different times and in different forms and shapes. In our day, they include forms like “IfNotNow,” “Jewish Voice for Peace,” and Jews in “Students for Justice in Palestine.”

The thing is, Korach was a tzaddik, a righteous Jew, when compared to “J Street.” He had been at Mt. Sinai and believed in G-d. He fulfilled mitzvot, observed the Shabbat and kashrut laws. His tragedy was his pursuit of personal prestige that defied the order of life that G-d had set forth. He brought tragedy on himself and on his followers. But he did not really aim to bring tragedy on Klal Yisrael, the greater Community of Israel. By contrast, “J Street” would, if they ever were to actualize their efforts.

Really, we can stop here by noting that George Soros helped launch “J Street” with $750,000 of his money. “J Street”s” leader’s response: “I am very, very proud that our movement and what we are trying to do is aligned with the values and principles of George Soros and we are proud to have his support.” Need more? Apparently, they did because Soros gave them another million dollars in August 2022. And even more. They also got $811,697 from Hong Kong donor Consolacion Esdicul. That revelation set off so much journalistic investigating. It emerged that she lived in Happy Valley, Hong Kong, and was a friend of a non-Jewish guy who made his fortune by betting on horses, often at $250,000 a race, at the Happy Valley race track. As explained in the Jerusalem Post:

But “J Street” occupies a unique place. In This World (Olam HaZeh), it devolves on us to exclude them, to maintain our distance, just as Moshe Rabbeinu (Moses Our Teacher) warned Jews of his time to maintain their distance from Korach and his assemblage.

“Why would a Hong Kong individual contribute as much as one half of J Street’s budget? Actually, Esdicul’s contribution is in line with J Street’s … taking of money from pro-Saudi activists, Arab- American leaders, Muslim activists, State Department Arabists, a Palestinian billionaire and even a Turkish American who helped produce the anti-American and anti-Semitic film ‘Valley of the Wolves.’”

Money matters. Reuters reported that Obama’s administration paid “J Street” $576,500 to promote Obama’s Iran Deal, which American Jewry so deeply opposed. In a 2010 exposé, the Washington Times reported that “J Street” had paid $56,000 over six months to a public relations and marketing firm co-owned by the leader of “J Street.” The president of Charity Navigator called the shoddy ethics of the situation “Messy.”

A “J Street” national college spokesperson published that Ben & Jerry’s had acted well in declaring their anti-Israel boycott. “J Street” featured Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) at a convention. Of course the presentation was virally anti-Semitic. “J Street” has worked to bring down Birthright-Israel, the program that brings young Jews to experience Israel and build their Zionist commitment and pride. The anti-Israel group IfNotNow was founded and has been led by a massive lineup of present and former “J Street” people.

A hate-Israel “J Street” activist, Simone Zimmerman, was hired to be “Jewish community outreach director” for Bernie Sanders. Her social media posts against Israel were so profane and hateful that — get this! — Bernie Sanders himself fired her for crossing all lines. In one such memorable post, she wrote: “ . .” (Profanities deleted.) This “J Street” star co-founded IfNotNow.

Many readers may know of outgoing Democrat Jamaal Bowman, a member of the left-wing “Squad,” who has represented a Congressional district in Queens that includes a good number of liberal Democrat Jews. Unlike others in “The Squad” — the antisemtic likes of Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar — Bowman initially was a bit subdued on the matter of Israel. He even faced expulsion from the rabidly left-wing and anti-Israel Democratic Socialists of America simply because he traveled to Israel. And yet, soon after he returned from Israel, he changed. He became yet one more Israel hater, a worthy partner of Tlaib and Omar. He began to attack Israel so often and so hard that AIPAC helped support the effort to apprise his constituents about him. Word spread among Jewish liberal Democrats, and they threw him out in last June’s Democrat primaries, still voting Democrat — but not for that one.

What had changed Bowman from being cautious on Israel to becoming a full-blown enemy of Israel? The answer: Bowman said that his opinion on Israel was transformed after he visited the country on a trip sponsored by “J Street.” He said the “J Street” trip soured his view of the Jewish state. They introduced him to a bevy of deep-rooted and bitter critics of the Israel we know. They set him up with rabidly left Israelis, “Palestinians” (note: there is no such thing as a “Palestinian,” just an Arab of Gaza, Judea, or Samaria), and they reeducated Bowman to “sour” on the Israel we love. The New York Times reported five years ago that “J Street” conducts the same exact “Israel tours” for college students, to give them the opposite view of a Birthright experience and highlight all that is wrong with Israel.

Who does this? What member of the Community of Jews does such a thing?

What member? The same exact kind of member that lobbies United States Senators to embargo weapons meant for Israel. But what kind of Jew does that?

Certainly not Israel’s extreme-left Labor Party and Meretz — the “Democrats.” Of course not. They don’t want an arms embargo. Their boys and girls are on the fronts, too, in Gaza and in Lebanon. Hezbollah, Hamas, and Houthi rockets land on their homes and them, too

So what kind of Jew would go to non-Jewish legislators and lobby them to embargo arms intended for Israel? (See, e.g., “J Street Urges Senators to Support Resolutions Blocking U.S. Arms Sales to Israel.”) Or supports the arrest warrants that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued against Israel’s Prime Minister and former Defense Minister? What kind of Jew would bring American lawmakers or college students to Israel on tours aimed at introducing them to Israel’s bitterest enemies, Israel’s haters? Answer: Jews who need to be considered beyond the pale of Klal Yisrael, the Community of Israel.

There is some partial comfort here, chatzi-nechamah. A great deal of them, perhaps the majority of “J Street,” are not even Jews to begin with. Many are outright self-acknowledged non-Jews, even self-described “Palestinians.”

The most fascinating “J Street” person to analyze is their leader, Jeremy Ben-Ami. Back in the early 1980’s, when I was United States national executive director of Likud Zionists of America (then called “Herut Zionists of America”), I knew his Dad intimately. Yitshaq Ben-Ami was a member of my Board of Directors. The man was a living hero, a patriot of Zion, a legend. When he died, even the New York Times honored him with a full obituary. Others did as well.

In 1932, at age 18, this Hero of Zion joined Betar, worked with Menachem Begin within the Jabotinsky movement, and played an historic role in facilitating the illegal Jewish immigration into Israel that evaded the British ban. The Irgun sent him to Europe in 1937 to advance illegal immigration into Israel. At the time, Nazi Germany was not yet averse to emptying out all its Jews into Israel, so Yitshaq Ben-Ami negotiated even with Adolph Eichmann to save Jewish lives by the thousands. He came to the United States in 1939, at age 25, and played a leading role in raising funds to support the illegal immigration, working with Robert Briscoe, the Irish patriot.

(Briscoe, a Jew, was a prominent leader in the Irish fight for independence from England. He was so deeply engaged in fighting the British that he once left his Irish Jewish family on Yom Kippur when he was summoned by Sinn Fein. In the 1920’s, Briscoe was sent by I.R.A. hero Michael Collins to Weimar Germany to procure and smuggle guns for the I.R.A. war against England. In time, as a powerful Jew with connections to arms dealers who hated the British, he helped the Irgun cause, too.)

Yitshaq Ben-Ami next became deeply involved in the “Bergson Group.” He was national director of the American League for a Free Palestine from 1946-1948 and helped found the Committee for a Jewish Army of Stateless and Palestinian Jews. Yitshaq Ben-Ami’s life truly was the stuff of Zionist legend. When the “Sakariyah,” an illegal transport carrying 2,000 Jews to “Palestine,” got stuck in the freezing waters of the Danube, Ben-Ami raised $10,000 in just a few days to free them. He was a critical player in almost every single historic event during those years, from recruiting Ben Hecht to the cause to helping organize the March of 400 Rabbis to the FDR White House.

His heroic efforts for Israel were stopped only when he was drafted into the United States army amid World War II, ultimately fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. Yitshaq Ben-Ami was on board the Altalena when it sailed to Israel to deliver desperately needed weapons to help the Irgun fight to save Jerusalem. (The tragic story of the Altalena can be found here.) He later published a deeply moving memoir, “Years of Wrath, Days of Glory.”

That was the father of Jeremy Ben-Ami, “J Street” leader, who lobbies U.S. Senators to embargo weapons to Israel, supports ICC arrest warrants against Israel’s prime minister and former defense minister, and educates Jamaal Bowmans and college kids to hate the Israel we love. How explain such a thing? A son devoted to destroying everything his Greater-than-Life dad stood for?

I am sorry for whatever, if any, demons he has wrestled with in his life. But, when the survival of my people is paramount, pity must wait. “J Street” must be out. They must not be included in any Jewish communal umbrella group. Not a local Federation. Not a local Jewish community council. Not an October 7 commemoration. They must be kept far away from Hillel and Jewish campus groups. In language they best would understand: they must be embargoed.

No one in the world knows more about identifying a Hitler — or any other Nazi — than do Orthodox Jews.

Hitler ultimately went after all Jews and also homosexuals and Romani people (“Gypsies”). But he and his Nazi crew particularly went after Orthodox Jews. Before they proceeded with the death camps, they loved spotting Orthodox Jews walking in the street and bloodying them, pummeling them to the ground and kicking them senseless. They made a sport of photographing themselves forcibly cutting Orthodox Jews’ beards and extended sideburns (payot). They attacked Jewish religious symbols particularly dear to and associated with Orthodox Jews. In their Nazi propaganda organ, Der Stürmer, political race cartoons depicted Jews regularly in the form of Haredi Orthodox Jews.

If Puerto Ricans were angered by that stupid “joke” spoken by an idiot “comedian” at the recent Trump Madison Square Garden event, how do you imagine Orthodox Jews feel when cynically despicable Democrats like Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and Tim Walz throw around terms like “Hitler” and “Nazi,” essentially leveraging those absolutely most evil of images, hoping for cynical political gain? (READ MORE: A Jackass of a ‘Comedian’ in Madison Square Garden)

We are ever so deeply outraged.

It denigrates what Jews (and homosexuals and Romani people) faced during the 1940s when the most evil of Democrats without souls leverage our Shoah tragedy for their hoped-for gain. It is hard to find a parallel for such cynical political exploitation of a people’s grief and tragedy.

In southern California, there is a congressional district in Glendale, California, with a very large Armenian-American population. Can you imagine if local elections there all centered around each side calling the other side by the names of the most evil Turkish perpetrators of the Medz Yeghern, the Armenian genocide? Just trying to grab a few votes here and there in Glendale by regularly telling voters, “This candidate will cause a new Medz Yeghern.” Or, “He will be a return to Enver Pasha and April 24, 1915!” Or, “No, it is my opponent who is the true Talaat Pasha!” Imagine that. Ask Armenian-Americans how that would play in Glendale.

For that matter, how about if American candidates for office regularly would campaign on such similar themes, repeating over and over and over:

“If you vote for Rashida Tlaib, you are voting for a Hamas terrorist who will turn America into a country where babies are burned, women are raped without limit, even dead women are similarly defiled, and random civilians are beheaded. So a vote for Tlaib is a vote for rape, beheading, and burning people. Don’t let her bring Hamas into our District.”

Or…

“If you vote for Kamala Harris, you are voting for a return to slave ownership, the mass enslavement of Blacks and the repeal of the 14th Amendment and even the Emancipation Proclamation. Harris and her slaveowners will turn America into a country where Blacks — especially black men — lose their freedom and are sent back to cutting cotton on plantations. So a vote for Harris is a vote for a restoration of Black slavery.”

Actually, both those templates are less absurd than the Trump defamation campaign. Tlaib really is quite an anti-Semite, and it is fascinating to hear her refuse to condemn Hamas and its animalistic deeds outright as indefensible. And Harris actually has a slaveowner in her family tree, and the way she and Obama talk down to Black men is downright emasculating.

Trump?

Perhaps no person in American history ever has been tested more viciously and incessantly than he by the abuse of American democracy, and yet he never has budged from his adherence to our Constitution. As president, his executive orders regularly were contested by Democrats who raced to Obama judges in the 9th Circuit to get nationwide injunctions banning order after order. Never in all four years — not even once — did Trump defy a court ruling against him. Not once. What kind of fascist Hitler dictator complies 100 out of 100 times with biased court decisions handed down by manifestly prejudiced judges hand-selected by litigants for their assured bias?

That is the Trump test. He always abided by the law. He always worked within the system to defend from lies about “Russian collusions” and so many similar, and patiently put up with one impeachment after another. Even a “dictator” far less “fascist” than a “Hitler” would have had Nancy Pelosi arrested, the Democrat Congress disbanded, and martial law announced at the southern border and in cities like Portland, Seattle, and Minnesota for extended years. Trump, when tested under fire, was more loyal to freedom than were Abraham Lincoln and Woodrow Wilson.

Trump played by the rules. He did not arrest judges or the likes of Adam Schiff who blatantly lied again and again, and even read lies into the record. He followed the rules for four years, even as Biden openly says we need to “lock him up” and Harris continues trying to promote his assassination (the ultimate “Hail Mary” to win an election when a campaign sputters a week before Election Day) by telling unstable lunatics that her opponent is a “Hitler” who will take away their freedoms and order the army to lock them away.

Perhaps the most clarifying point on Trump is this: History has shown repeatedly that Orthodox Jews have the most to lose under a fascist, Hitler, Nazi-like government. Yet they support Trump overwhelmingly overwhelmingly. Those last two repetitive words were not a typo: Orthodox Jews support Trump more overwhelmingly than that word conveys. Polls show Trump’s support among Orthodox Jews ranging between 80–90 percent. There is no other demographic as pro-MAGA and pro-Trump in all of America. What are the millions among the bearded, yarmulka’d, daily worshipping, strictly kosher, rigidly Sabbath-observing pro-Trump Orthodox Jewish community saying? That they want to be put into death camps and then gas chambers and crematoria?

I am an Orthodox Jew. I am voting for Trump, as are 95 percent of the people I know in my community. I assure you that we are not voting for death camps, gas chambers, and crematoria. We simply are voting to make America great again and to fix what Harris broke during the past four years.

At the same time, polls show that half of American voters will be voting for Trump, give or take one person. If we were offended by Hillary in 2016 when she called us “deplorables,” are we to be less offended that Harris now calls us “fascists” and “Nazis,” saying that those who jam-packed Madison Square Garden on Oct. 27 — not only Trump, but everyone who was there and who wanted to be there — are racists, misogynists, and the rest of the “deplorables” litany? Really, a plague upon them.

The Harris, Clinton, Walz effort to paint Trump as a “fascist” or “Hitler” or “Nazi” is not merely appalling; it is disgusting. And, by their defaming Trump that way, it is they who wield the Hitler-Nazi ultimate weapon: The Big Lie.

I am a Columbia University alumnus, so this one hits home. When I was there in the mid-1970s, Jews not only were safe, but I was elected by the entire undergraduate class to be their representative in the University Senate. Yes, a crazy Orthodox kid with a yarmulka, who was known throughout the university as an outspoken activist for Soviet Jews and Israel, was elected by the student body of the college to be their representative in the University Senate from 1974 to 1976. (I was termed out by graduation.) I mingled for two years with department deans, college professors, student representatives from other schools in the university, and with William J. McGill, the president of Columbia in my day. In negotiations with me, he agreed to cancel Columbia University’s entire academic exchange program with the Soviet Union until they allowed a particular Jewish refusenik professor to go free from the U.S.S.R., teach a year at Columbia, and then make his life in Israel.

There was no fear in being a Jew at Columbia then. The fear was in being an anti-Semite. One time, the dean of the college, dear naïve Peter Pouncey, a scholar of Greek letters, came up with the fabulous idea of introducing two on-campus “celebrities” to each other. He thought that would be just grand. So he called me in for this academic-intellectual “blind date” that he would chaperone in his office. I was curious. He was my dean. He always deemed me a wonderful curiosity — a right-wing Jew who somehow had gotten a college of left-wingers to elect him their guy.

And the other person whom Dean Pouncey invited to this intellectual “blind date,” equally clueless as to who would be there waiting for him, was Prof. Edward Said, the most virulently, viciously, venomously anti-Jewish — oops! anti-Zionist — person of the day. Even back then, the Columbia faculty had some doozeys. This character went to Lebanon in July 2000, traveled south with his son to the border with Israel, and together the two of them threw stones across the border. A real class act, this professor.

So there we were in this clueless college dean’s office, a classic case of He Said/She Said/Jew Said/Edward Said. We looked at each other, smiled, and for a moment in time the chances for Arab-Jewish mutual understanding never were closer, as we both saw in each other’s eyes an exact meeting of the minds, to wit: “This college dean is a moron (or a غَبي / أبله).”

That is the Columbia I not only knew but experienced. I made dear friends there who remain buddies 50 years later. Literally. I would bond with many others whom I would meet over future years simply by virtue of our having gone to Columbia. I sent some kids there. In fact, until this past year, my only hard feeling about Columbia in half a century is that I met my first wife there.

And then the garbage happened this past year. Columbia, slowly but surely over the decades, started admitting more and more non-American Arab Muslim foreign students and others from countries hostile to America and contemptuous of America’s values. Columbia’s 14,088 non-American foreigners now make up — get this! — 38 percent of their student body. If you want to know where the “encampment” garbage began, there is no need for a sociological study. Just read this paragraph. That’s where the trouble began, and the foreign professors from Middle Eastern countries tutored them in destroying the peace in the America that welcomed them. The Jewish Virtual Library has reported, “According to the Department of Education (DoE), between 1986 and Oct. 17, 2022, colleges and universities received nearly $44 billion from foreign sources, and nearly one-fourth — $10,826,665,022 — came from Arab individuals, institutions, and governments.”

In the face of this mess, it was the job of Nemat Talaat Shafik, Baroness Shafik — the president of Columba also known as Minouche Shafik — to protect all students, whether Christian, Jewish, or born into the faith she was born into, Islam. When the very first tent was set up on campus, it was her job to call 9-1-1 or the local Morningside Heights police precinct to come in, tear it down, and arrest the culprit(s) for trespass. If Shafik had acted promptly, it would not have come to dozens, then scores of such eye-sore tents jamming all of Columbia’s main campus. The dirtbags would not have been able to grow in strength and confidence to test more limits: occupying College Walk, then taking over Hamilton Hall, smashing windows, barricading buildings, threatening Jews, and fist-fighting with cops. Frankly, it is unfair to the police to call them in when there are 100 tents to tear down and hundreds of radical maniacs to remove when it all could have been handled in 10 minutes the day of the first tent.

After the situation got completely out of hand, with even professors telling the public that, as Jews, they did not feel safe on campus, Baroness Shafik shifted to making excuses for her inaction and incompetence by sending public letters to alumni and donors. Her letters reflected that, as an Ivy League dean goes, she is awfully stupid because the malarkey she was sending — refusing to apologize and trying to explain everything away — was being sent to … alumni of Columbia University, educated by great professors 30 to 50 years ago to read incisively between lines. I am one of many such thousands. We who graduated from pre-DEI Columbia University — we, the ones in our 50s and beyond, with the real money to donate — learned at Columbia in better days how to read and see through baloney. She thought she was writing to Hollywood celebrities who cannot read between lines, only the lines they are handed to read. But she was writing to Columbia-trained attorneys and medical professionals and business titans, all from a pre-DEI era when we got in because we were qualified, and we never needed DEI career help afterward to make the most of our education.

Donations hemorrhaged. New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who annually gives Columbia millions, pulled his gift and instead donated it to Yeshiva University. Billionaire hedge fund founder and Columbia University graduate Leon Cooperman announced he would no longer donate to Columbia. In April, House Speaker Mike Johnson demanded that Shafik resign if she couldn’t stand up to the agitators, calling her leadership “very weak” and “inept.” She could not do squat.

So it is extra great news that Baroness Shafik now has resigned under enormous pressure from all fronts. And, really, it is such a shame. My alma mater finally had hired its first Arab Muslim-reared dean, a child of Egypt. Such a thrill. Diverse religion, Diverse ethnicity. Diverse nationality. And a woman, too.

Baroness Shafik joins three other Ivy League university presidents knocked off this season because of Jew-hatred. The house cleaning began with those great congressional hearings chaired by Rep. Elise Stefanik. University of Pennsylvania President Liz Magill, the most arrogant one who projected that self-righteous smirk throughout the questioning, resigned Dec. 9, 2023. Then Harvard University President Claudine Gay, plagiarist, who talked down at the hearing to the Representatives because they obviously were not as educated about “context” as she, stepped down on Jan. 2, 2024. Most recently, Cornell University President Martha Pollack joined that “Squad” on June 30. Baroness Shafik makes a quartet. And now, y’alla:

The new anti-Semitism — let’s call it Jew hate, since that is what it is, not a study of ethnography — realizes that Hitler really ruined it for Jew haters big time. If he only had been allied with America and Churchill, maybe it would be a political sacrament.

But instead he was a true war criminal, a criminal against all humanity, a Satan whose sole existence on earth led to 40-50 million deaths. His entire raison d’etre — reason for being — was to destroy Jews, to implement anti-Semitism. Along the way, he destroyed millions of American lives and millions of all others. So, no matter how much someone hates Jews, he simply cannot say in America “I happen to hate Jews because, well, I just hate all Jews. I am and anti-Semite. Y’know, like Hitler. I don’t just hate Bernie Sanders and George Soros. I also hate Dennis Prager and Ben Shapiro and Mark Levin and Milton Friedman and Ayn Rand and Albert Einstein and the whole bunch of them.”

You can’t say that after Hitler. Hitler ruined a good thing for people who found Jew-hatred a nice way to make a pretty penny: Father Charles Coughlin of the Dearborn area, Gerald L.K. Smith, William Dudley Pelley, Fritz Kuhn, Robert Edward Edmondson, the whole priesthood of those warlocks.

If prostitution is the world’s oldest profession, then Jew hatred is its oldest hobby and sport. There’s a Jew out there for everyone to hate. Bigoted landlords can rant about their Jewish tenants who ask for heat in the winter, and bigoted tenants who are eight months behind on the rent can rant about their Jewish landlord.

Jew-hating capitalists point to Trotsky and Bernie Sanders and even fabricate that non-Jewish communists like Lavrentiy Beria were Jewish. (He was born and raised Orthodox — Russian Christian Orthodox.)

Jew-hating socialists blame Milton Friedman or even Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for capitalism. Anti-Semities would not hire Jews into America’s elite banking system as late as the 1960s; yet jealous and ignorant common people, even former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. George Brown, accused Jews of owning the banks.

When one-third of Christendom died during the mid-14th Century from Bubonic Plague — the Black Death — Jews throughout Europe were accused of poisoning all wells in the continent to kill them, even though Jews were dying in similar numbers, though a bit less because of religious rituals that require Jews, as a matter of Judaic law, to wash their hands before eating bread, before dipping foods, and after exiting the lavatory. It is what it is.

Because Hitler has made it uncool to say out loud “I hate all F – – – ing Jews,” and since such haters still linger among us, they have had to find new ways to identify themselves.

The Language of the Anti-Semite

After trial and error, with the benefit of hundreds of millions of dollars pumped into American higher educational institutions and Middle Eastern Studies departments, a new term that was barely used in the 1950’s entered our lexicon with all the frequency of other new terms like LOL, ROTFL, FOMO, ICYMI, microaggression, meme, AI, virtue signaling, safe space, mojo, deplatform, deep state, inclusive, and pickleball. That term?

“I am not anti-Semitic. I have nothing against Jews. My husband is a Jew. I have Jewish friends. I was just at a rally for Bernie Sanders with Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar. I’m not an anti-Semite. I’m just anti-Zionist.” Anti-Zionist. Get it? Got it? Good.

The reality is that Zionism is part and parcel of the definition of Judaism. It is like saying “I am not against Jews. I am only against people who circumcise their sons (Gen. 17:10-14; Lev. 12:3), eat kosher meat (Lev. 11:1-31;  Deut. 14:1-21), and celebrate their Sabbath from eighteen minutes before sunset on Fridays until nightfall on Saturdays (Gen. 2:1-3). But I’m not anti-Semitic. I don’t have a single anti-Semitic bone in my body.”

It really is a thing. Hitler forced these poor Jew haters to find a new term for their anti-Semitism. Then they find their assemblage of useful idiots to parrot the term. “I’m not anti-Semitic. I’m just anti-Zionist.” The less sophisticated often let the cat out of the bag a bit by erroneously letting slip, “I’m not anti-Semitic. I’m just anti-Israel.” Ooops.

And the more sophisticated, realizing by now that “Anti-Zionism” and “Anti-Semitism” are identical, are test-running a new one: “I’m not anti-Semitic. I’m not even anti-Zionist. I’m just anti-Netanyahu.”  Oh, that clears it up.

The thing is, Netanyahu has been elected repeatedly by the Israeli public to be their Prime Minister. As in any true democracy, he has occasionally lost, too. In the most recent polling, a plurality of those polled said they still prefer Netanyahu for Prime Minister if elections are held now. (The strong majority also endorse continuing the Gaza struggle until Hamas surrenders and returns the hostages, and oppose an Arab country being formed west of the Jordan River. In other words, no “Two State Solution.” From the River to the Sea, only one country.)

Identifying the Anti-Semite

Even so, how are the uninitiated to tell for sure when a self-described “anti-Zionist” really is a Hitler-quality Jew hater? OK. Here goes: the Dov Fischer Guide for Ferreting out a Jew Hater Who Says He Is Only an Anti-Zionist:

When you tear up your college campus for two months protesting Israel but don’t care about Xi’s China, Maduro’s Venezuela, Putin’s Russia, or Kim Jong Un’s North Korea you’re probably an anti-Semite.

When you boycott hummus made by a company based in Astoria, Queens and Virginia because it has a Hebrew name but don’t boycott Apple or Nike products made in China, you’re probably an anti-Semite.

When I was a kid, a group of my friends and I followed the nonsensical “professional wrestling.” In the schema of the “World Wide Wrestling Federation” (WWWF), there were “Faces” (Good Guys) and “Heels” (Bad Guys). We obviously knew it was phony. Amid the foolishness, a new WWWF star Good Guy was introduced: Cowboy Billy Watts. He was the “goodest” of Good Guys. Never lost. Fan favorite. Quickly rose to the top of the constellation of stars. I became his #1 biggest fan in the whole universe. Right up there in 1960s Dov World alongside Mickey Mantle and Superman.

Eventually, the unthinkable happened — remember: all this nonsense was scripted and staged as an ongoing storyline — Cowboy Billy Watts’s growing ego got the better of him, and he jealously turned on Bruno Sammartino, the quintessential Good Guy and WWWF world champion. Tragically (!), Cowboy Billy Watts went from most popular Face to most hated Heel. Initially, I could not accept that my hero, Cowboy Billy Watts, had become a Bad Guy. (Postscript, in real life — decades later — it also emerged that he was a nasty racist.)

Which brings me to Candace Owens.

So many of us conservative American patriots saw in her earliest public appearances manifestations of greatness. Her articulation. Her razor-sharp smarts. Her refusal to be intimidated by the mainstream. The Left despises nothing more than a (i) conservative (ii) black (iii) woman. Just ask Justice Clarence Thomas, who is only two of the three. In the world of the Left, blacks are forbidden to be conservative. Jason Reilly? Thomas Sowell? North Carolina Lt. Governor Mark Robinson? Tim Scott? Dr. Ben Carson? Allen West? Shelby Steele? Larry Elder? She was the defiant challenge to that blatant Biden bigotry that bellows: if you are dark-skinned but conservative, then “you ain’t black.”

They couldn’t break her, our magnificent Candace. The harder they hit, the stronger she countered. It seemed she was destined for greatness — perhaps one day to become a regular columnist in a major daily news publication, or host her own TV show. Maybe even the U.S. Senate. They couldn’t break her.

Only Candace Owens herself could break her. And now, before our very eyes, we are witnessing “The Wreck of the Candace Owens.” It is as sad as the turn of Cowboy Billy Watts. Soon enough, though, one feels hoodwinked and bamboozled forever having thought otherwise of the scoundrel. Good Guys don’t “just become” Bad Guys.

When an intense and near-invulnerable person doubles down to demonstrate that no one is his or her boss, that no one will intimidate her by suggesting politely she has inferred something factually wrong, then we sometimes witness an unbreakable hero but often, instead, behold the self-destruction of hubris. It is a tragic flaw, worthy of a Shakespearean tragedy — or of the World Wide Wrestling Federation. Imagine what Candace Owen could have been. We will never know. And, by now, who remembers Cowboy Billy Watts?

A rigid stance defending truth is noble, standing by honorable principles no matter the personal cost. We admire heroic personalities who even go to prison for their righteous beliefs. Nelson Mandela, Anatoly Sharansky. Alexei Navalny, that guy who just died in Russia on Putin’s watch. Mohandas Gandhi. Martin Luther King. Andrei Sakharov. Vaclav Havel. Rosa Parks. Ze’ev Jabotinsky. Yitzchak Shamir.

It was a haughty, arrogant, and deeply vicious moment. On his way through the aisle to deliver his final State of the Union message, President Joe Biden shook hands of senators and House representatives in the traditional manner. As he came to Sen. Michael Bennet, Democrat of Colorado, Bennet sycophantically brown-nosed Biden, complimenting him on “what you doing on the humanitarian stuff” amid Israel’s desperate and existential war to get back their hostages and defeat murderous Hamas terrorism permanently. Biden, crowing in his glory on the cusp of delivering the SOTU, did not merely say “thanks” but bragged: “I told him, Bibi — (and don’t repeat this) — but you and I are going to have a  ‘Come to Jesus’ meeting.” Bennet further “tukhus-lecked” (Yiddish for “brown noseing”) Biden, raising his eyebrows in great awe. Someone then told Biden that he was being heard “on a hot mike” — and Biden replied “Good. That’s good.”

(For the benefit of my non-Jewish readers who do not know the “BiBi” reference, that is the Hebrew nickname for men named “Binyamin” — i.e., Benjamin.  For the benefit of my Jewish readers (including me), I looked up “Come to Jesus.” Merriam-Webster says it means “a moment of sudden realization, comprehension, or recognition that often precipitates a major change.”)

Ever since President Trump was targeted that Shabbat day in Butler, Pennsylvania, there has been a great deal of talk about miracles and G-d’s role in our lives. I, too, recently wrote on that subject here. I cannot say why these things are happening or what G-d’s plan is. This sense of miraculous times all began with the unnatural survival of President Trump, who was a clear shot from that unguarded roof, and would be gone if he had not turned at that moment toward that chart tabulating illegal immigration under Biden–Harris. But there is more:

1. The worst human massacre against Jewish people since the Shoah occurred on Shabbat Shmini Atzeret, Oct. 7, 2023. Arab murderers — whether we call them “Hamas” or we call the non-Hamas butchers “Arab murderers” or “innocent Gaza civilians” — slaughtered 1,200 Israelis hailing from almost 50 countries, including the United States. The vast majority of those murdered were Israeli secularist leftists who hate Binyamin Netanyahu and the freely elected conservative Israeli government. Many were celebrating a pagan-like “Nova festival” on a night that observant Jews were gathered joyously in synagogues in Israel and throughout the world, celebrating the end of Sh’mini Atzeret and the beginning of Simchat Torah. Other massacre victims, primarily — but not at all exclusively — were Israeli secularist leftists who lived in kibbutz communities on Israel’s side of the Gaza border because they quixotically wanted to “advance peace” and believed in the inner goodness of the innocent Arab civilians, their comparative neighbors. Israel — you know, that genocidal apartheid country — maintained a policy of allowing thousands of Gaza Arabs to come into Israel every day, and these peace-focused Jewish leftists (think: Bernie Sanders, Chuck Schumer, George Soros) welcomed the “innocent Arab civilians” from Gaza into their homes regularly. When the “innocent Arab civilians” had medical crises, they crossed the border, and their “Peace Now” dear Israel friends ambulanced them to hospitals. Those leftists were the ones who mostly were slaughtered. I mourn their loss, and hundreds of Orthodox Jews have been among the Israeli Defense Forces who have given their lives in Gaza for them. I mention the Leftist-Orthodox factor only to share at least two miracles:

There are incredible stories you have not heard in the American media, not even on Fox. At one kibbutz, a secularist wife later had become religious, observing Orthodox Judaism. Because the kibbutz was populated exclusively by leftist secular Jews who do not observe Shabbat according to its laws, she began to feel socially isolated on Saturdays. Therefore, she pressed her secular husband to agree to go away from the kibbutz with her every Shabbat (Friday sunset to Saturday nightfall) and to spend it in another community, a distance away, where Shabbat is observed. The husband resisted, but he finally gave in to his insistent wife. Accordingly, they were not home on Oct. 7. Today, the husband is more Orthodox than the wife. Did you know that? Praise the L-rd.

Case Two: Another such couple in another such secularist kibbutz near Gaza likewise had become religious over time and already had assumed the practice of going away every Shabbat to a place a distance away where Shabbat is observed. However, the weekend of Oct. 7, the wife got sick, and the couple stayed home at the kibbutz. That Saturday, as Arabs rampaged, slaughtering Jews, cutting off heads, putting live babies in ovens and baking them alive, raping living and dead women, and even worse, virtually every family at the kibbutz was murdered. But not the Orthodox couple with the sick wife. Why? Because the entire Oct. 7 slaughter had been coordinated by Hamas with hundreds of “innocent Gaza civilians” who regularly had been hosted and befriended by Jews in kibbutzim (plural of “kibbutz”) like that one near Gaza. For months, these “innocent Gaza civilians” had been preparing for Hamas sophisticated reports and diagrams, listing every address, every name of every person in every home in the kibbutzim, the number of each household’s children, whether there were dogs in the home, and any miscellaneous notes. For that newly Sabbath-observant couple where the wife got sick that weekend, the notes reported that Hamas should not waste time by attacking that home because that couple go away every Saturday for their Sabbath. So their home was skipped. Did you know that? Praise the L-rd.

There are many such accounts. I regard these as miracles. Others may regard them as coincidences. To each his own.

2. Joe Biden arrogantly bragged on March 7, 2024 that he had told the prime minister of Israel: “[Y]ou and I are going to have a  ‘Come to Jesus’ meeting.” This man showed an arrogance that should stir all of us to retain a core of humility. If you have to discipline an employee, do it. Be tough and strict if you must. If you must negotiate a contract with intensity, do it. If you are a head of government and believe that circumstances require you to talk down in an arrogant manner to another head of government, go ahead and do it. But don’t brag about it arrogantly to others when there is no need to do so except for personal arrogance. Go ahead and dress down Putin or Kim Jong Un, but don’t tell others in a way that they will be unnecessarily insulted, and do not give G-d reason to set you in place. If a “Come to Jesus” encounter means “a moment of sudden realization, comprehension, or recognition that often precipitates a major change,” then who on all earth has had a more “Come to Jesus” moment as Biden has only four months later? Nancy Pelosi, Obama, and a host of other Democrat leaders, and the leftist mainstream media that are a wing of the Democrat Party, have been pounding into Biden since his debate debacle of June 27 that he must realize, comprehend, and recognize that the moment has come, precipitating a major change. I just saw his 11-minute quasi-farewell. It seems it is he who has come to Jesus.

3. On the very same day — the exact same day — that Biden came to Jesus, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came to Congress. The very same day. Praise the L-rd. When Netanyahu scheduled with House Speaker Mike Johnson his day to speak to a joint session of Congress, neither could have imagined what else would be happening later that day. And yet, it was the arrogant Biden who came to Jesus, and Bibi to Congress.

4. As bad as the American Woke left is, the Israeli Left is 10 times more despicable. The good news is that they represent only 10 percent of their public, some 12 seats in the 120-seat Knesset (parliament). Since they cannot win elections anymore, they run for office, get wiped out at the polls each and every time, and then spend the next four years gathering 20,000 of them to the city center of Tel Aviv every single Saturday night (except when Iran, Hamas, or the Houthis of Yemen rain bombs on them). How bad is the Israeli leftist media? On the day that their prime minister was leaving for America to plead his nation’s case —their case — in our Congress, their equivalents of MSNBC and CNN were reporting, hoping to create a scandal, that the Netanyahus were traveling with nine pieces of luggage! Take that, Rachel Maddow! So I felt this speech would not be a successful matter. It further would be marred by Democrat legislators boycotting and Iran’s “useful idiots” rioting outside and inside the Capitol.

5. Bibi knocked the ball out of the park — and not just any park but Yankee Stadium (out of which no baseball ever has been hit, though Mickey Mantle twice came within 18 inches). It was a brilliant, forceful, magnificent speech that hit every point needed. It was elegant and bipartisan, effusively thanking President Biden for a lifetime of support, the Democrats for decades of backing Israel, deeply thanking Speaker Johnson and the Republicans for their overwhelming support, and President Trump for several remarkable ways he made history with Israel (moving the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, forging the Abraham Accords, and more). He addressed the corrupt United Nations “International Court of Justice” in defiant terms more elegant than they deserve. He exposed the Iran funding of international terror from Hamas to the “Palestine Authority” in Judea and Samaria to the Houthis of Yemen. He recalled Americans who have been murdered by Iran and their Arab Muslim proxies from American soldiers they have murdered and maimed with IEDs (improvised explosive devices) in Iraq to the 241 American Marines they murdered in Lebanon to American ambassadors they have murdered around the world. He linked the “useful idiots” who rioted at American campuses with their Iran funding, and he excoriated the anti-Semitism of university deans like the three from Harvard, Yale, and Penn whom Rep. Stefanik took down in Congress. He made a passionate plea for the hostages whom Hamas still holds, including five Americans, and he introduced Congress to four IDF soldiers in the gallery: one, a hero from Ethiopia with no car at home, who ran 8 miles to defend the kibbutzim when word of the attack hit the news; another, a Bedouin hero who lost an arm in Gaza fighting and will be returning to the front; another, who lost a leg in Gaza, and will be returning. He continued speaking of the American–Israel alliance. It was a great speech. Larry Kudlow summed it up perfectly here

6. Notably, the reception in Congress was amazing. Republicans jumped to their feet, applauding robustly after almost every sentence Mr. Netanyahu spoke. The much-hyped Democrat boycott fizzled. Even Rashid Tlaib attended, with a little protest sign, a circle attached to the kind of wooden spoon you get when you buy a cup of ice cream, that could be seen only on MSNBC. The usual Israel haters — Elizabeth Warren, Chris Van Hollen, and Bernie Sanders — were absent. Big deal. Kamala was absent, a violation of protocol, since the vice president presides over the Senate at moments like this. It won’t be her last protocol botch, and her antagonism toward Israel already is well known from her own statements.

7. A few hours later, a significantly diminished Biden, his face colored no less than President Trump ever has done, said his good-byes. It was appropriate that he had his opportunity to address the nation on the same day that Bibi had. The strength and determination — the leadership — of each was simple to compare and differentiate. Mr. Netanyahu had come to Washington. Mr. Biden had come to Jesus.

Most Israelis are not expert on matters pertaining to New Hampshire, Iowa, or Delaware. In similar vein, residents of New Hampshire, Iowa, and Delaware are not expert on matters regarding Israel. As a result, we get people like Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Queen Nancy Pelosi, King Obama, and Kamala Harris foolishly and ignorantly pronouncing their support for a “Two-State Solution” that would divide Israel by allotting the Jews the western portion of the land and crafting a pseudo-nation for Arabs on the eastern portion of the land. Actually, “Israel” and “Palestine” are the same thing, just like “Siam” and “Thailand.” Until May 1948, the Jewish country under British colonial rule was called “Palestine.” After the Jews decolonized and liberated the land, it was named “Israel.”

There already are 22 Arab Muslim countries. There is only one Jewish polity. The proponents of this “Two-State Solution” would call the Jewish half “Israel” and the Arab Muslim half “Palestine.” It would matter no differently if they would call the Jewish half “Palestine” and the Arab Muslim half “Israel.” It is one and the same land, even less divisible than the United States was when several southern states declared that they would create their own country from the whole. They called it the “Confederate States of America.” They could just as well have called it “Palestine.” It was not going to happen.

Just bear with me a bit before you write snarky comments that it never will happen. I know it never will happen. But that’s not the point here. Okay.

Imagine you wake up to news reports on Israeli television and in the online and print newspapers that on Saturday night 100,000 or 200,000 Gazan Arabs (there are no “Palestinians”) rallied, rioted a bit, blocked traffic, and fought with Arab (there are no “Palestinians”) police. Throughout their melee, these were the slogans:

1. Give back the Accursed Hostages!

2. Hamas Must Go Now!

3. Yayha Sinwar, Crime Minister

4. Sinwar to Death! We will blot out his name and turn his house into a field!

5. Death to Sinwar, Meshall, Deif, and Abbas (All Abbases)!

6. Peace with the Zionists at All Costs.

7. Let Them Have ‘West Bank’ and Leave Us Gaza City, Khan Yunis, and Rafiach.

Then more riots and demonstrations week after week at Hamas tunnels where Hamas leaders hide.

Then demonstrations at whatever Gaza “hospitals” still stand.

Then attacks on UNRWA buildings in Gaza.

All with red, green, and black flags for Arab Gaza and Arab Judea and Samaria. (There is no Palestine.)

Then even more and angrier and even larger mass demonstrations with major Gazan celebrities in the centers of Gaza City and Khan Yunis. The leaders: Yahir Najid. Ehab Barakat. Shakira Bresslafa. Yajir Ghulam. Gildun Halaby. All the superstars of Gaza. And the demands even stronger:

1. Salaam at All Costs!

2. Sababa Now!

3. Return the Hostages for Sababa!

4. Itbach al Hamas!

5. Leave the Accursed Zionists Alone!

6. You Are Our Misfortune, Hamas

7. From the River to the Sea, Let’s Drown Hamas in Both!

8. We Don’t Want Piers; We Want Peace.

9. We Aren’t Hungry for Food; We Are Hungry for Peace

10. UNRWA and Biden: Keep Your Pork Salami. We Want Halal Salaam.

Can you imagine the impact on the mindset of the average Israeli? Not Israel’s treasonous left, but the relatively sensible “uncertain” Israeli. The impact would be:

1. We are winning. They are getting desperate.

2. The nine months of bombing is breaking them and destroying them.

3. They know they are losing. and they can’t take it anymore.

4. We are precisely on the right course, and they will utterly break soon.

5. We have them where we want them, and we dare not let up for a moment now because they are starting to wave white flags.

6. Intensify the bombing and ground attacks now, and crush them.

Okay? That’s what we would think and say if they were doing that.

So what do you expect them to think and say when our treasonous Left does just that?
