Responding to the violence at the U.S. Capitol this week, the Coalition for Jewish Values issued the following statement:

“We are outraged at the political violence that took place on Wednesday and the assault on the nation’s Capitol. The sight of lawmakers taking cover behind Capitol Police should terrify us all.

Violence should never be exploited by anyone on any side for political purposes, because that is how it spreads. We pray that the men and women of the incoming administration will lead with wisdom, condemn violence on all sides, and restore a sense of security and decency that the recent violence has taken away.”
