Rabbi Yaakov Menken, Managing Director of the Coalition for Jewish Values, spoke with Yaakov M on the VINnews Podcast about the impending removal of Ilhan Omar by Republicans from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
He said, “We already knew when she was first appointed to the committee, we asked Speaker Pelosi to remove her for things she said prior to being elected, and then a month later [we asked again when] she said ‘It’s all about the Benjamins’…and then we asked a third time in response to her saying that Israel and the US committed atrocities along the lines of Hamas and the Taliban.”

Rabbi Menken called out the left for having the audacity to claim that Omar is being targeted because of race, gender, and ethnicity.
“I believe the members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus should be kicked off their committees for daring to claim that the reason people went after Omar is that she is a Muslim refugee woman,” Rabbi Menken said. “The former Neo Nazi and former grand wizard of the KKK, David Duke, praised Ilhan Omar and endorsed what she said. He does not like her because she is a Muslim or refugee or a woman, but because she says the same things as he does about Jews.”
