The Coalition for Jewish Values, along with the rest of the Nation of Israel, deeply mourns the passing of the Mashgiach (Dean for Spiritual Growth) of Beis Medrash Govoha of Lakewood, NJ, HRH”G Rav Mattisyahu Salomon, zt”l (of blessed memory). Rav Salomon was steeped in the Torah, values, and attributes of his great Rebbeim in Eretz Yisroel (the Land of Israel) and in England, and their teachings were reflected in his speech and actions. He was blessed with uncommon insight and understanding, together with a heart of boundless love for his fellow Jews and all humanity. These traits made him a beloved teacher to the thousands of talmidim (students) who drank from the wellsprings of his wisdom.

His loss will be felt keenly not only by his family, but by the Yeshiva that he headed for decades and all of Israel.
