UN Special Rapporteur for the ‘Occupied’ Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, who has a long record of anti-Israel bias and antisemitism, is being slammed on Twitter for her vicious and disdainful comments about Israel’s miraculous rescue operation.
Albanese criticized Israel for the operation, saying: “Israel has used hostages to legitimize killing, injuring, maiming, starving and traumatizing Palestinians in Gaza.”

Her full tweet said: “Relieved that four hostages have been released. It should not have come at the expense of at least 200 Palestinians, including children, killed and over 400 injured by Israel and allegedly foreign soldiers, while perfidiously hiding in an aid truck.
This is “humanitarian camouflage” at another level.
“Israel has used hostages to legitimise killing, injuring, maiming, starving and traumatising Palestinians in Gaza. And while intensifying violence against Palestinians in the rest of the occupied territory and Israel.
“Israel could have freed all hostages, alive and intact, 8 months ago when the first ceasfire and hostage exchange was put on the table. Yet, Israel refused in order to continue to destroy Gaza and the Palestinians as a people.
This is genocidal intent turned into action. Crystal clear.”
Four hostages were not "released" today. They were RESCUED.
If they were actually released by the terrorists who were holding them for 8 months, then no one would have had to die today.
It's shameful how far the apologists for Hamas are willing to go in defense of terrorism. https://t.co/5qmcksk6yS

Rabbi Yaakov Menken, Managing Director of the Coalition for Jewish Values, wrote: “No hostages were “released.” They were rescued in a military operation because Hamas uses Arab civilians as human shields. Only a modern-day Nazi would find a way to blame Israel (aka Jews) for the civilian deaths caused by Hamas seizing civilians, Hamas holding them hostage, and Hamas hiding behind civilians. But the UN is a warm and inviting home for modern-day Nazis.”

Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of UN Watch, tweeted the following:
“This is to serve notice that your statement below constitutes a material breach of the United Nations Code of Conduct for Special Procedures Mandate-Holders of the Human Rights Council, specificially for violating your duties under Article 3 to act through a professional, impartial assessment of facts based on internationally recognized human rights standards; violating your fundamental obligation of truthfulness; failing to uphold the highest standards of competence and integrity; violating your duty to act with probity, impartiality, equity, honesty and good faith; and breaching your obligation to behave in such a way as to maintain and reinforce the trust they enjoy of all stakeholders.
“Abusing your UN mandate to regurgitate Hamas propaganda is a gross violation of the UN Code of Conduct.”
As reported by JNS:
“Balakrishnan Rajagopal, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on the right to housing, tweeted on Saturday that “Countries that celebrate the release of four Israeli hostages without saying a word about the hundreds of Palestinians killed and thousands held in arbitrary detention by Israel, have lost moral credibility for generations and don’t deserve to be on any U.N. human rights body.”
The U.N. Human Rights Council, which appoints special rapporteurs, has long been criticized for including some of the world’s worst human rights offenders, including current members such as China, Cuba and Eritrea.”
