Rabbis Endorse Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun as Antisemitism Envoy
November 24, 2025

Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), representing over 2,500 traditional, Orthodox rabbis in American public policy, today endorsed Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun as U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism. This follows his testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee last week, during which Rabbi Kaploun expressed his hope to use his position to address antisemitism in a bipartisan fashion and to seek fairness towards the Jewish community. As this position has the rank of Ambassador, Senate confirmation is required before he can assume this role.

CJV Executive Vice President Rabbi Yaakov Menken issued the following statement:

As an educated, Orthodox rabbi, Yehuda Kaploun’s understanding of antisemitism is informed by millennia of Jewish scholarship and tradition. Antisemitism finds facades to give it credibility in multiple schools of thought, as we see happening today. Rabbi Kaploun models what is needed: someone who will shun partisan political considerations while seeking justice and human rights for Jews and all other communities. We hope the Senate will quickly confirm this appointment.
