Thank you for your interest in the Coalition for Jewish Values. We hope to keep you apprised of our activities with these updates. And they have already been many!
One of our Senior Rabbinic Fellows, Rabbi Aryeh Spero, commented to me on Friday that he has never seen an organization launch this quickly in 40 years of activism. If this is true, it is only because so many people have joined together to help us grow. How I came to address 800 people on Friday – tucked in between Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Counselor to the President KellyAnne Conway – demonstrates how others have helped us step forward.
In late March I reached out to Ken Timmerman, a past candidate for the House of Representatives here in Maryland and an expert in national security. He took an immediate interest in the CJV, and helped me gain an invitation to the Paul Weyrich luncheon, a gathering of Washington-area conservatives chaired by Morton Blackwell of the Leadership Institute.

Following that address, Mr. Blackwell responded with similar enthusiasm, and arranged an invitation for me to attend the conference of the Council for National Policy, a national umbrella organization for those active in the conservative movement, in mid-May. The idea of a group of rabbis who are pro-Israel, pro-values and pro-security was well-received — every attendee was invited to make a brief introduction, and mine drew a round of applause.
[The following week, I was interviewed on the Seth (Leibsohn) and Chris (Buskirk) show, on 960 AM The Patriot KKNT in Phoenix, Arizona. You can listen to the interview here:

The segment with me begins at 19 minutes, 20 seconds into the file. Chris Buskirk is the Editor of American Greatness, amgreatness.com, had printed some of my articles, and decided I would be an interesting guest. I hope that I delivered!]
My CNP appearance led to an invitation from Ralph Reed, Founder and Chairman of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, to speak at his Road to Majority Conference — and then an invitation from the Executive Director, Timothy Head, to reserve a table at their Legislative Luncheon on Thursday, where several of our Rabbinic Fellows and laypeople heard from Senator Ted Cruz, Senator David Perdue, Texas AG Ken Paxton — and President Donald Trump.
There is actually more to write about, concerning our Washington DC visit as well as other activities, but I want this opening message to thank in particular the five people I have highlighted above: Misters Timmerman, Blackwell, Buskirk, Reed and Head, for the contribution each of them made to the launch of the new Coalition for Jewish Values.
And as hinted above, more to follow!
