The media went wild over former President Donald Trump’s recent Truth Social post about his own concern for Israel and American Jewry’s lack thereof. He stated, “No president has done more for Israel than I have. Somewhat surprisingly, however, our wonderful Evangelicals are far more appreciative of this than the people of the Jewish faith, especially those living in the U.S. Those living in Israel, though, are a different story — Highest approval rating in the World, could easily be P.M.! U.S. Jews have to get their act together and appreciate what they have in Israel – Before it is too late!” His attackers proclaimed this statement to be an antisemitic threat.
Three news outlets asked for Rabbi Yaakov Menken’s opinion on Trump’s comment, and if he truly deserved the backlash that he received. On Newsmax, Rabbi Yaakov Menken compared Trump’s so-called “antisemitic” tweet to Ilhan Omar’s and Kanye West’s antisemitic remarks.

In Rabbi Menken’s second interview, Lars Larson asks Rabbi Menken if Jews should be more supportive of Israel than they have shown to be.
Rabbi Menken was also asked by David Brody of The Water Cooler if Trump’s statement was indeed an accurate depiction of American Jewry’s feelings toward Israel.
