Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) has faced heavy pushback for his statement to anti-Israel activists, “You know what? I think we should kill them all, if that makes you feel better. Everybody in Hamas.”
Some left-wing venues have portrayed the statement “kill them all” as referring to all Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, rather than the “everybody in Hamas” named in the following sentence. The American Muslim Advisory Council accused Ogles of advocating genocide.

Coalition for Jewish Values has defended Ogles from the attacks.
“Given that Rep. Ogles stated unequivocally that he was speaking about Hamas, a terror organization that has both declared and evidenced its intent to massacre all Jews, his is the only morally correct position,” stated CJV Midwestern regional president Rabbi Ze’ev Smason. “It is deplorable that organizations and even left-wing media outlets have deliberately falsified his words in order to malign and slander him.”
Smason added that “whether through ignorance or malice, they are advocating for those who seek genocide against the Jewish people, and we commend Rep. Ogles both for his moral compass and his backbone when confronted with their virulent hate.”
