Coalition for Jewish Values demands Association of Reform Zionists of America disavow comparison between Israelis, Orthodox to segregation.

Four U.S. Orthodox organizations have strongly criticized a Reform Zionist official’s comparison of the Western Wall prayer controversy to the African-American civil rights struggle.

Rabbi Dov Fischer of Orange County, California added: “The government should not be forcing those whose religious beliefs oppose dispensing contraceptives to violate their consciences.”

The brief was written by attorneys with the law firm of Jones Day on behalf of Jews for Religious Liberty, Agudath Israel of America, the Coalition for Jewish Values, the Rabbinical Council of America, and the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America.
