The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), representing over 1000 traditional American rabbis in public policy, today endorsed the letter of 200 Israeli colleagues supporting the position of Jerusalem Chief Rabbi HaRav Aryeh Stern in favor of traditional marriage and in opposition to normalization of same-gender couples.

Last Wednesday, the Coalition for Jewish Values, which Rabbi Yaakov Menken leads, hosted a meet and greet for Chele Farley. It was held in Young Israel of KGH’s auditorium, where at least 100 important dignitaries from the Orthodox communities from all over the city came to hear her speak.

The Coalition for Jewish Values, a rabbinic public-policy organization, also welcomed the decision, saying that the travel ban upheld by the Supreme Court “focuses upon countries that harbor both terrorism and hatred for America.”

The CJV further called attention to its statement made last year, when another American group was refused entry: “Israel’s decision is prudent, reasonable, and entirely justified. No government is expected to welcome those who advocate for that nation’s destruction.”

‘The Jewish people have survived for millennia because of, and only because of, our adherence to our unique traditions,’ added Rabbi Pesach Lerner, President of the CJV.
