We should all agree that the mentally ill should not have access to guns, but we should also focus upon the loss of values which has plagued America for generations. Several generations of values-free education has produced too many values-free children, in which life itself has little value or meaning.

Two Senators, both of whom are candidates for the President’s job, described a man who instigated Antisemitic marches and even murder as spending “his life” fighting for “justice” and “to improve our nation.” It is hard to imagine a person with any sensitivity towards the Jewish community making such a statement.

The Holocaust was a horrific physical destruction of our people, while intermarriage and assimilation are causing a spiritual destruction no less detrimental to Jewish continuity. They are by no means the same, but both extinguish the Jewish future – and repeated studies of the American Jewish community bear this out.

To use Holocaust terminology regarding the refugee situation at the border is deeply offensive, and for Rep. Ocasio-Cortez to first use the term ‘Never Again’ and then deny making the comparison is compellingly dishonest.

Al Sharpton set race relations back years, and helped ignite a hostility towards Jews in the black community that persists to this day. For a Jewish organization to declare such a person a ‘civil rights leader’ betrays both authentic civil rights and Jewish values.

Certain partisan politicians, including Jewish ones, are silent on condemning this cartoon and the hate it encourages, in exactly the same way they were silent condemning this and similar forms of anti-Semitic expression by Rep. Omar.

It only adds to the pain of this atrocity that something as obvious as ‘evil is bad’ needs to be said. Violence against civilians is abhorrent in all cases, under all circumstances, and hate crimes have no place in civilized society.

Twenty-one diverse pro-Israel organizations sent a joint letter to President Trump, urging him to permit Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a free hand to extend Israeli sovereignty over Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. The letter comes in response to one from left-wing groups calling upon the President to indicate that he will “not support any Israeli proposals to annex the West Bank, in whole or in part.”
