An influential group of Orthodox rabbis has joined the call for a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) investigation into the California imam who delivered a violently antisemitic sermon at the Islamic Center of Davis on July 21.

The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), which represents some 200 North American rabbis, directly addressed the “misinformation” in a July 16 statement, saying the progressive groups’ billboard campaign in Israel disenfranchised “all traditional Israeli Jews.”

The statement of the CJV provides balance to the article, showing that there is rabbinic support for Israel denying entry to a “rabbi” who supports anti-Semitism.

Coalition for Jewish Values quotes Torah, also points to long-term surveys showing negative impact on children raised by same-sex partners.

The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV) today expressed strong support for the position of the Israeli government to limit adoption of children to heterosexual, married couples, save in exceptional circumstances.

The Coalition for Jewish Values, which represents 200 Orthodox rabbis in the U.S. and Canada, also charged that “political motives” were behind the ADL’s inclusion of Corey Stewart, a prominent Virginia conservative who is seeking the Republican nomination to oppose Senator Tim Kaine.

The Coalition countered the ADL’s list by releasing a top 10 list of left-wing activists who, it says, are “far more guilty of anti-Jewish defamatory speech” than those named by the ADL.
